This is my own very simple, short thoughts, may be different than yours.
Is Attack On Titan/Shingeki No Kyojin Overrated?
My review: No. For both, of course, the manga and anime.
AOT is beautiful. The plot is neat. The story is kinda realistic. The characters wouldn't make you mad because of their dumbness. Well-written.
Aoyama-sensei's drawing style is different from others, and you may not like it. It's pretty untidy, there are sketches everywhere--I think it could be better, but it still fits the story. You could watch the anime, tho. The drawing is better and there isn't much difference between them.
Warning: the fandom is.. pretty toxic.
Found no romance. Just, blood. Broken hearts.
